The brain serves as the central control mechanism of our body, exerting significant influence over various organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys. This interconnectedness suggests that cognitive processes can directly affect our physical state. The App in question engages users in exploring their thought patterns, facilitating an understanding of how repetitive thinking can lead to entrenched habits. These habitual thought processes inevitably affect behavior, with potential ramifications for daily living.
This App is designed to cater to a diverse audience, ranging from children to adults.
Randall Clinch's journey with the Smarter Thinking training program (formerly known as Attitude by Choice) began when he was tasked with assisting young students who were challenging for educators. His observations revealed that the habitual thinking patterns developed during formative school years often carried over into adulthood, influencing workplace behavior. Smarter Thinking encourages individuals to harness their cognitive abilities effectively, organizing thoughts in a way that promotes constructive rather than detrimental outcomes. The framework has proven particularly effective in supporting the long-term unemployed in reintegrating into the workforce.
Incorporating high-definition 3D visualization and multimedia elements, this App provides an insightful perspective into the human body, elucidating the principles of Smarter Thinking. Features include a 4-minute 3D visualization video along with a series of interactive questions designed to deepen user comprehension of the topic. Additionally, users have the opportunity to share their insights via a social media Tweet button.
About Randall Clinch
Born in Broken Hill, Australia, Randall Clinch's early life was shaped by humble beginnings—his father worked as a miner while his mother maintained the household. With limited formal education ending at age 14, Randall initially entered the labor market as a laborer in the building sector and progressed to a career as a bricklayer. However, after experiencing a debilitating condition that hindered his mobility by age 32, he faced significant challenges; notably, he was illiterate until this point. Following a year of rehabilitation aimed at restoring mobility, he successfully transitioned into sales and management roles within a building company. Tragically, his eldest son's diagnosis and subsequent passing from cancer profoundly impacted Randall's life trajectory.
This personal loss prompted Randall to recognize that while he could not control external circumstances, he could govern his responses to them. Notably, he witnessed firsthand how attitude influenced not only his own experiences but also those of others around his son during his illness. Following this period of reflection and change, Randall committed himself to literacy and education, ultimately becoming a part-time lecturer at Monash University, where his teachings have been subject to academic research led by Associate Professor Tony Townsend.
Randall Clinch's educational outreach extends across various Australian states including Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales. His story was featured on Australian Story in 2000; further details can be accessed at [Australian Story](http://www.abc.net.au).
